sakai.cooks x FOYER magazine Supperclub

We invited 32 guests for a special edition of the sakai.cooks supper club. This time, an exploration of nature and culture through food with the celebration of the launch of FOYER magazine’s latest edition Issue 03: Nature & Culture.

Taking inspiration from FOYER magazine’s pages Agnes Sakai creates dishes rooted in the earthy tones of the forest canopy, the fresh uplifting scents and flavours of gardens and flowers, and the essence of the sea. With each dish, with every taste, we consider how nature shapes us, grounds us and invites us to explore nature from new perspectives.

Fusing flavours and styles from cultures across the world, along with Agnes’ unique flair and Brazilian-Japanese inspired cooking, we invited you to step into our greenhouse and be taken on a journey to reconnect with nature’s bounty and to touch new cultures.

By gathering around for an intimate meal we hoped to bring a sense of warmth and community to the table, where meaningful connections could be made.

The menu created by Sakai.Cooks included: Xeque mate cocktail, roasted pumpkin and chestnut soup, truffle onigiri, Matcha udon with miso tahini sauce, and a tofu dark chocolate mousse with edible flowers.
