SOLD OUT

Embark on a journey alongside FOYER magazine and paper flower artist Suvi Savola from Other Flora to unlock the art of making paper flowers, by crafting an exquisite, lifelike poppy using the finest German and Italian crepe papers, wire, and glue.

During this two-and-a-half-hour session in The Maker Store workshop space, you'll receive step-by-step guidance to master essential skills for cutting and shaping petals, preparing the centre of a poppy, and harmoniously assembling these elements into a stunning poppy flower with a flexible wire stem.

Suvi will guide you through each part of the process with live demonstrations and plenty of guidance. An array of crepe papers in different colour tones will be available, allowing you to choose the ones you like. Ample time will be provided for your questions. There will be pre-made examples of poppies at different stages of creation on hand to study and assist you in your making.

You will leave with a fully completed poppy flower to grace your vase. Moreover, you'll take home the patterns to create poppies for a beautiful bouquet in your own time.

As an added treat, enjoy a complimentary beverage and cake as you get creative.

No prior experience is required to participate in this workshop, and it is an inclusive opportunity for craft enthusiasts of all levels.
